1997 1998 January   Program purchased 3 computers and placed them at the Gilan Public Site to use until the new server is purchased. We began Internet training for Alumni on a daily basis. February   On-Line job site started with 7 job ads. March Resume Bank started, and was advertised in Eastern Economist.   April 1996 through April 1997: Public Internet access sites opened in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dniepropetrovsk and Kyiv. Public access center at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy opened. Training for NGO and University Staff began. May   Dial-in access available for Alumni. 5-days seminar for Agricultural specialists. IATP cooperated with Winrock International to train over 40 Farmers and Agricultural specialists. June   IATP participated in the Geonomics Institute's conference in Kyiv. IATP representative spoke about Internet and Job search. July   Under the IATP no-cost extension, IATP continued to provide training to Alumni, University students and NGOs. First issue of Sapienti - On-Line magazine for Alumni. August     September   Public Access Center re-opened at UKMA. Artur Yaremenko restarted the IATP training on Thursdays at the EERC. October FSA/Muskie Internet training seminar in Kyiv Second issue of Sapienti is placed on-line. Participation in the IREX Job Fair in Kyiv. Artur Yaremenko started training for Verkhovna Rada Interns. Also, we trained participants of the Alliance's NGO development program.
